My Q is, will a 7M GE fit right into a MK2 and be able to connect to the 5M ecu and harness completely? some trouble spots i can think of would be the ISC and possibly the dizzy being on the other side of the motor. Let me know what you got, thanks all

My friend has done it, but he had the 6M engine originally.

He ran it with the 6M ECU, did some custom setup to the ignitor, it is different between 7M and 6M but the parts were interchangable.

From what I understood, it was a pretty straightforward swap.

good luck. youll have to use 5m injectors and whatnot. best thing is to wire the car for the 7mge ecu and harness. not very hard and the ecu is better.

or the better thing to do is wire it up for a 7mgte. and be done with.

thanks for the help guys. I have no desire to go turbo in this car. Should make for a nice, responsive N/A though

i know, i've had plenty a 5M (including the one now that is on it's way out). My motive here is the 7M is costing me next to nothing
