I think there's something in the water with these VW boyz. Whatever it is I want some. VW builds the most amazing cars. Congrats on your run!

Congrats on the pass! I've been out there both nights your ran, didn't get to see the 9 sec pass, but saw last week where you got a little sideways at the end of the track when you were racing the bike.
Congrats again!

Congrats Jack, great numbers. I can't wait for my car to be done. All these fast VW cars are making me itch for my car to be done. Once again, congrats.

when do you feel you have full boost? and when does it start to come on?
Just tryin to see the power band you have with the 74GTS on a stock long block?
That all depends on the Gas / Timing. It can very as much as 400-600 rpm depending on timing, but on current tune 100 octane, full boost at 6200 rpm, use to be 5900 rpm before the virtual works intake manifold, with the new manifold, the car feels like it gain almost 80-90 hp but gotten slighlty laggier. I had C16 in it last year for the meet in Vegas, we had it tune where Full boost came in at 5600 rpm.

Is that in 4th gear? In 4th gear with my 74GTS I see full boost by 4700-4800 rpm. This with stock motor with 272 cams, AEM, etc...

The higher gear your in more load is on the turbo, so you would feel the car boosting quicker, but here when I tried to gauge when full boost hit was in 3rd gear. Also if you are running HKS style manifold would also boost quicker, the Virtual works exhaust manifold I have has longer and slightly bigger runners which makes more power but have more lag, most people think the turbo is the key to making more power, but if your manifold can't flow, whats the point.

Nice work Jack and Dana. I love the GTS turbos from Precision.

P.S. I added your stats to the Feramic Clutch page on our site. You are now in our top 4.

Take care,
Chris.
