I wouldn't that price is a little high for a 240 with nothing special. I personally would rather get a car from Texas/Flordia/AZ and than pay the money to ship it, than get the underbody resprayed. You may have to replace the dash but at least you wouldn't have to deal with rust.

it's a "fair" deal. could be better. 3500 canadian aint all that much (like 2600 right?) and the mileage is pretty good. if they are rare in your area, you might jump on it an not look back.

that is a rip off IMO...it has rust and the mileage is definitely not favorable

btw...this is just my 2cents here...240s are not the greatest cars to buy right now. the JDM drift fad has completely taken over and 240s are going for waaay too much then what I think they're worth...

Thats pretty minimul as far as rust goes. A little por 15 would fix it.

AS long as you took care of that rust immediately it wouldn't be a problem. It's just a little surface rust. However, if you let "a little surface rust" sit for a couple years you get full blown "cancer".

If you know nothing about rust, it's best not to buy a car with rust issues.

That 240 is in really good condition. The rust that it has is minor, and if you left it alone, it wouldn't be a problem for a couple of years. best bet is the POR (paint over rust) and call it good. The price is pretty good too for the car being DOHC and in that condition. Here's what I get to work with over here:

I'd say go for it. The car looks like it has been taken care of pretty well. The only thing that I would be concerned about is the back half of the car. I didn't see any pics of it though.

that car looks like its been sitting for a bit. look at the rotors... they have surface rust too. drive the car and that rust will come right off (of the rotors), but id say the underbody rust is just as minimal.

as for the price... eh.... its a seller's market.. gotta pay to play with those cars

Unfortunately, the 240 is becoming the next civic.
