thanks guy!

iv been hitting a few snags on the transmission, but i can gladly say everything is a-okay with it. for some reason i couldnt shift into all the gears.. turns out it was a worn out bushing under the 6 bolts ontop of the shifter area!

this friday im swapping the pedals over and running all my wires for the swap which hopefully will take place this saturday! wish me luck

wud the stock mk3 supra driveshaft fit on a sc300 with a r154 tranny

yup. i already have one, well the front half atleast.

you take a mk3 front half (goes into the r154) and my stock auto sc300 rear half (the side that goes into the pumpkin). magically/supposivly they bolt right up and are the perfect length.

unfortunently no swap this weekend, i have to watch my sisters kid. plus, im not ready because my parts dont come in till monday. i might go ahead and swap the pedals over still this weekend just so its one less thing i gota do.. personally i think its going to be the hardest haha (which it really isnt)

looks good wudnt mind having one easier to do my swap

just waiting on curt to send me those bolts and its game on! (for the manual swap atleast) gota wait till next paycheck to put the head on so i can get dyno tuned

TRANNY IS READY TO SWAP.

now only if my friend would get back from the beach so i can use his uncles shop's car lift to swap it.

very nice trade man, you definately got the better end of that deal....im not sure why people think taking out the 2jzge, and replacing it with a 1jzgte is a down grade. it really isnt. headgasket, and paying someone to replace it isnt cheap, not to mention replacing pistons if you wanna run high boost. then the 2jzge ECU is not meant for boost, so you need a stand-alone to tune, then you need a good turbo kit. with the 1jzgte, or 2jzgte, you just upgrade fuel, get the right combo turbo kit, and turn up the boost, you can even get close to 500whp with a AFC.

looks pretty nice man

i appreciate it. i bought the car already swapped.. if i did it myself i would for sure have gone with a 2jzgte instead. but the 1jz aint so bad. :69:

if i had the cash, i might have gone the with a 2jzgte, but for a whole lot less, and have just about the same power potential in single turbo form, you cant go wrong with a 1jz. but if im really concerned about 3.0 over 2.5, i can get an older gs300, or sc300 block, they are just as strong as the 2jzgte block without oil squirters, and low comp pistons. so you use less boost to make power :-D

ending up selling the intake manifold, q45, and y pipe since i lowered my power needs. i did however purchase a very nice garrett 60-1 :)

the other day when i was raining, i got ran off the road by a black suburban (on coming lane, was in my lane completly, no shoulder on my side). since my tires were going bald, and it was wet i lost control and tried to correct it but ended up putting the rear right into a guard rail, itwas down hill and i bounced off theguard rail and my nose dug into the mud and grinded..

insurance appraiser is coming tomorrow since i have full coverage..

my friend has a clean titled sc300 shell that im prolly going to buy and swap everything into.. this shell has no rust (like my gold on does, and leaks when it rains very badly) and isa 5spd and im working out plans to buy a w58 for my 1jz. im also planning on getting he shineautoproject body kit and paint in spring (shell is black.. i like better then gold).

i was under the speed limit when it happened. it sucks big time. insurance appraiser came today and it looks like its going to be totaled..

figured itll cost me right around 3500 to get me back up and running, with a 5spd. depending on how much insurance gives me i might also go single turbo (i have everything but the manifold and oil lines and safc2)

bought a new shell

Some of you know i totalled my sc300. Thankfully i have full coverage but i didnt have recipets for my parts anyway im getting a little chunk of change so i decided im going to get another sc and swap everything over!

with insurance money, and money i have saved up im buying
-valentine1
-aem ems v1 with a dr. tweak jumper harness
-t3 manifold + oil lines
-tial 41mm wastegate
-bigger front mount + new piping
-samco radiator hoses
-supra 550cc injectors + resistor
-crow harnesses
-shine auto project kit
-welding in a 4 pt roll cage with rear X -taking the rear seat out
-r154 - already have lightweight flywheel / clutch
-paint will be a lexus white, not sure which yet but i have time since i cant paint till spring

my buddy owes me a good amount of cash so hes giving me his PAIR of authentic Bride XAXii reclinable seats with rails with heigh adjustment for driver as partical payment for my fully built 1jzgte head. there the black cloth with the grey variations of bride going down the back and bottom. baller. hah :greddy2:

honastly the only reason im running a cage is because im getting those seats. since im gettin the seats im going to run the cage so i dont die in a roll over.

ill eventually get new wheels.. till then new tires are a must

as for a ETA.. i plan to have the car painted and good to go by tx2k11! (which is in march)
