i have a powered driver's seat that isn't powered anymore. the top part moves but the bottom is stuck. is there a little electric motor i have to replace? i found a little while cylinder screw on the floor so something is broke. my seat is in the closest position to the steering wheel so i can't reach the front bolts to take it out. can i move it manually?

I am in the middle of fixing my MkIV Seat.

I am taking photos and will post what happened to help anyone who has to do the same as I could not find a thread on any sites.

If your '93 Supra is the same setup as mine:

You can wind the seat back manually by removing the front plastic cover screws and cover.


This will then expose the two nuts at the front ( they are a different sizes on mine) and wind them back with a socket and wratchet driver a bit at a time on each side so it goes back evenly.

You can wind each side back about an inch at a time.

This will let you expose the front bolts.

I forgot to add you have probably stripped both sides and will need 2 gears, one for each side.

One has a motor attached and one doesn't.

The motor one is hideously expensive for what it is but I notice Elmehurst has given you a good price.
