Not really need a lot of money, try to look for used parts..
doing swap is fun, you can learn about your car.
you can buy a $ 20kTT car and drive it, no problem, so don't know anything about your car.
You be spending a lot of time looking for used parts as well. Even w/ used parts it still adds up. Especially if your goin for a 6spd swap, you'll need a complete 6spd rearend which is very hard to find. For me i rather have my car on the road asap instead of in the garage for months.
