Hey guys, I know this can only be generalized, but I have access to very good priced 98unleaded Sunoco and was wondering roughly what a safe boost pressure would be. With :

Stock Engine
Stock Cams
AEM EMS Gen1
SP71 Dbb
HKS Ti exhaust

Considering how much pump gas is going up now and I can get it for just a tad more, is it worth it ? Sooner rather than later I hope to have the Pro-EFI and run E85, but in the meantime.

Thanks all.

You sure it is just 98 octane? Is this a Moto Fuel? We can get Sunoco GT260 at the pumps here, which is 98 octane, but only 95 Motor Octane. I run 21 psi on it with the factory ECU. Anything over that I get some knock. With an AEM you could probably run slightly more if you dial back the timing. It runs $6.99 a gallon so I just switched over to Renegade 110, which has a MON of 109. I can run 25psi with it and it is only $5.75 a gallon.

Thanks Steve, Thats good to know. Im almost positive its the GT260 that you mentioned. It would be in sealed 55 gal drums for 5.99/gal. Being unleaded it seemed a fair price, but Im still not sure its worth it to me. Running the AEM uego wideband makes using anything with lead almost worthless, which is why it is tempting.

Thanks !
