well i took the supra out finally this yr and before i put it away last year i had my timing belt and serpentine belt changed along with all the tensioners and so on (all oem parts from elmhurst), well when i started my car up the serpentine belt squeeled a little so i sprayed a little belt dressing on it and i noticed it seems like the ac compressor ticks when the a/c is not on and when i turn the ac on the noise goes away, anyone have any idea on what it could be or what direction i should go in?

You've already replaced the belt and the tensioner so the most likely suspect would either be the a/c compressor pulley bearing (but the noise shouldn't disappear when the a/c is turned on) or your main pulley starting to/ already has separated.

Ironically I have a broken pulley sitting in my garage I recently installed for another SF member, if you really need it I can snap a pic of it and send it your way. I did do a quick search and found this pic below. The top ring of main pulley separates from the rest of the pulley, it's a chronic problem. I've personally replaced six of them on different 2J vehicles. You could take the serpentine belt off and check for play on the pulley itself.
