I don't think the catalyst would have any effect on the A/F reading at the tailpipe. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the O2 sensor measures oxygen content and the catalyst doesn't effect it in any way.
A gas analyzer would be a different story. It would have to draw gases from before the cat.
