just wondering...

does the signal the ecu gets from the speedo cable vary from car to car? Actually, What i should say is, does the signal from the ecu to the actual gauge vary from car to car... This is in refernce to the HUD display. I was thinking of using one off a bonneville/grand prix, possible??

Also
Are there any boost controllers that have gear/rpm specific boost? I would really like one that would boost 10psi in second at 4000rpm and 15 psi at 5500 rpm and 22 psi in third, for example.

would there be any way to make one? as far as i know the car doesnt really know what gear you are in? Or does it? Im sure its simple enough, just speed rpm relation.

Anyways, anything like this available?

for your boost control question, the AEM EMS can do this. It knows what gear you are in based on your speed and rpm. This was a much handier feature before the EMS had the traction control ability, but I haven't seen anyone post in the last 6 months or so inquiring about setting speed based boost control.
