A few trans oil cooler questions

1242 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Twinkie2000
Hey guys

Now that my trans will be getting built I'd like to keep it running for a while so I am looking to get a trans cooler. I know that Greddy makes coolers, but I've also heard that Setrab is suposedly very good. Are they really that much better then anyone else or what would be one of the best coolers out there.

Also is it worth getting 2 coolers or is one sufficent enough. And do any of you run engine oil coolers?

Thanks

I just bought a B&M Supercooler with a 7" SPAL fan with 160 degree thermostat. I am going to be installing it in the next few days, and I will take some pics and post them up with a writeup with a trans filter and tranny gauge also.

I've had great luck with this transmission oil cooler:

It's a nice sturdy cooler with all the necessary components for a clean install. If you have a stock radiator, you have a transmission cooler built into the radiator itself. Here is a link to some great information as well:

Good luck and keep that tranny cool in the summer :D
