is it safe to use a Crank pulley with no dampener?
i have been lookin on here and other sites and i cant seem to find anything
is there any kind of affective pulley set that is not going to harm my vehicle
because if i am correcy the harmonic balancer is attached to the crank pulley
and if i replace that with an underdriven crank pulley with no dampner
am i going to run into serious problems?

problems now, no, problems down the road, yes

buy stock, or ATI dampers. and be done with it for a long long time.
Kracin I wouldn't even go as far as to say its not a problem now. I put one of these on a JDM 2J that ran flawlessly for two years because my stock one split and I had an after market one sitting around the garage so I decided to use it till I got around to getting my hands on the stock replacement and a week later I had a rod knock.

well. i didn't want to have yet another flame war erupt from people who buy the unorthodox pullies and claim they have never had an issue.

you can have a problem now like kruso stated, or have one later if your motor is still super healthy.

had a guy basically scoff the advice given after linking to the damping characteristics thread and all that.... he bought the underdrive pulley anyway.. hope he doesn't actually try to run it.

needs to be dampened

my first car had one on it when i bought it. i didnt notice any problems at the time but, i did not feel comfortable with it so i pulled it for a stock one.

i would say stay stock, ATI or a fluidampr.
