Hey guys just love to share this info and to get some info

ive removed my old stock totaly bented oil cooler and installed 1985 mk2 auto trans oil cooler but my qustion is it safe ? cuz it looks similar to the stock one but wider and much bigger so any ideas how dangrous it is ?
by the way ive washed the cooler with oil flush and water and oil looks pretty clean so any ideas ?

been running a large permacool oil cooler for some time w/no ill affects...

by the way do u use 5 liter of oil or do u add more after your new oil cooling ?

Using a bigass oil cooler won't harm anything, just make absolutely certain you got all the ATF out of it. It wouldn't be a bad idea to change your oil after running it for a bit, either.

Depending on how large the cooler is, you may want to top up your oil after the lines and cooler have been primed with oil. The loss from the pan should be pretty insignificant, though.
