Anyone here have any experience running the Adaptronic ECU? Seems pretty popular with the lexus V8 croud but I wonder how well it would work for the 2JZ?

It isn't plug'n'play, but it still might be a great unit if you want to spend the time to wire it up.

so many options for ECU

if you are going to rewire anything

Motec
Haltech
Autronic
F.A.S.T
Big Stuff
EFI Techologies
Wolf V500

list is endless!

just did some reading on it.

only has 4 injector outputs which means have to change the 2jz to dual injector per channel AND also convert to waste spark.

and what's so wrong with that? It's not that big a deal.

I guess it is all personal preference. But I would assume when you start pushing big numbers you really want sequential.

Looks like for price, the haltech looks like it might be my option.

But anyway, makes sense why you wouldn't want to run this on a 2JZ. 7M on the other hand, it wouldn't make a difference because you are already running in wasted mode.

Ehhh, I'm sure it would work just fine. The batch fire configuraion for the injectors isn't very desirable, but if the price is right, the flights tonight.
