This is preprogrammed for 19 different serial streams that comes out of the ECU. I don't believe you can add eth% to the templates, however, I'm about to tune a car with a v2 that has the serial gauge on it and will try this out. Would be good to know......

You can program the serial gauge to read just about ANY 19 channels you want that the AEM can output. Ethanol content should work no problem. One trick to make it easy is to change the throttle channel to ethanol percent, and this should scale exactly the same 0- 100 percent give or take, so you don't have to dig into the AEMProGauge Software.

We'll try it and see!

The problem is that the serial gauge does not have the range to use the Hz as the output to change the gauge to what it should read. Also the output of the sensor is not linear which makes it difficult as well. However this is something I wrote up for someone else trying to do the same thing. He isn't at his car so I am not sure if it works. I also don't have a car here at the shop at the moment with the flex sensor, serial gauge and Series 2 combination. If someone can try this and let me know it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Open up AEMTuner and go to the wizards/setup wizard. Go to Telemetry: Serial Click on AEM Serial Datastream Gauge (02v02 firmware). Make sure it is matched. Click apply and close.
2. Go to Tools/Configure Telemetry/Serial Telemetry. Click on any of the channels for this example lets just use Byte 6 ADCR 11 change this value to Flex Fuel Per and hit enter.

Next open up your serial gauge software. Open up your current serial gauge calibration. Keep in mind you make changes to the calibration live so before doing anything. Do a save as to something else.
Go to the Single Gauge Data Window. Scroll down to #6 it will say ADCR 11. Click on the first cell and click the little marks that just popped up.
This will bring up another window called look up table. This is the tricky part.
Upper right I would change the letters to FLX. Just click the bars you want on or off.
Now click the autofill table.
0-31 set to 999 98-255 set to 999Set the colors however you want them to be displayed. Click OK
Change Gauge name to FLEX
Change Units to ms
Click OK

The numbers below is what has to be entered to display the ethanol content. The resolution between numbers is not great because you can use the full 255 range.

At this time no it can't. We would have to write a specific CAN output to drive the Pro EFI gauge. Or we would have to program the Pro EFI gauge to work with our CAN protocol. I don't really see either one happening anytime soon unfortunately.

This is so frustrating because the information is right there. I went all the way to change byte 6 ADCR11 to "Flex Fuel Per" but did not see the lookup table. I tried using "Flex Fuel Content Raw" since the info is already in % and the explanation said Raw info does not freeze. All the other info works (H20, VSS, load,.... I even change VSS to Flex Fuel Content Raw but still no luck. Next I will try TPS info since it is also in %. If that does not work, off to see a tuner that knows how to set this up.
