Hi guys,

Just want to clarify which is the correct position for the rotor phasing. If I follow the manual I can line it up perfectly per the notch on the distributor drive gear.

Or, I can line it up centered exactly on the cylinder #1 pole on the cap.

which is correct ? I know how to sync it with the AEM V2 I just want to know what position I should be syncing it with. Thanks !

I phased it exactly to the pole on the #1 cylinder. which is actually how it’s been the entire time....

chasing a high rpm misfire. new ngk coil, new ignitor, ngk (oem style) wires, new 4644 plugs, new fuel filter, fuel hose from pump to top hat replaced (it was fine anyway)

it’s possible the pickups in the distributor are going. I did check them to see if they ohm’ed to spec per the factory manual but they do. low/mid rpm is fine but anything above about 5k rpm it pops almost like I’m anti-lagging.

this setup used to sing to 8500rpm before this problem occurred. tune hasn’t changed either. hmmmm....
