I went to the parts place to buy some 5/16" hose to hook up my afpr but the hose had "NOT FOR FUEL INJECTIONS SYSTEMS" written on it. Do I need to buy hose designed for higher pressure?

Which side of the afpr are you trying to buy hose for? The line between the rail and the afpr must be high pressure stuff, but the return line can be regular fuel line hose. Just make sure you bypass that nasty j-tube of death or you will have pressure in the return line.

yes you need fuel compatible hose. as far as pressure, that depends if you are hooking up to the feed side or the return side. only thing i would ever use on the feed side is ss hose or parker hi press hose. don't skimp here.

Amen to that. I have braided hose on the supply side. It's the return side I am buying hose for.
