I'm removing the air con system from my car, but am not sure how to do it.

Is that the air con system in the picture below?

....umm....dude i think the object in the upper left hand corner is your a/c compressor, but the item in the lower right side seems very much to be the power steering pump.

The lower one is the power steering pump. Put it back in if you want to keep power steering, otherwise also pull out the rack, lines and resivor and replace the rack with a 5.0 Mustang rack. While you are pulling out the AC (im assuming for weight) you can remove the lines, the condensor (looks like a thin radiator - mounted in front of the radiator), and the accumulator (the can right next to the condensor).
