Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good after market High Output alternator. Last Week I ordered a 220 Amp High output Alternator from Powermaxx seller on ebay. Installed it in car idled fine for 30 minutes and was charging great, until I decided to rev the car thats when the alternator took a dump.

I called them because they are local and ran over there and grab another alternator this time a 200 AMP alternator and it did the same thing.

Turns out the rotor went bad on both of them.

Can anyone guide me to a dependable alternator. My mechanic thinks I am putting too much load on the factory alternator because I am running a twin pump setup and electric fans

What size is the pulley? Are you running it with an OEM timing belt?

There are two Toyota alternators that are nearly a direct fit upgrade.. the 130A Tundra/Sequioa and the 150A Sequoia alternators. Shave about 5mm from one of the ears, and re-pin the connector (less than $10 from Elmhurst for a new connector) is all you have to do.

Is the 2JZ alternator pulley identical to the 2uzfe pulley, or do you have to swap it over?

one person - carchitect- mentioned shaving 1mm off the sleeve from the lower ear but no one else has and 7mm off the top ear...
do we know for a fact that the top 5mm shave will line up the pulley with the belt perfectly
Thanks
