I need to get a good mpg car to mile up. nothing crazy, just something comfortable, reliable, in budget, and good mpg.

Requirements

  • Not RWD (due to winters here)
  • Auto
  • 2005+
  • $10k-15k
  • 25 mpg or better

Kicking around a TSX or a mazda6.

Any other ideas?

Not a fan of the 9. 8 and X are both amazing but the 9... why did they have to make it so heavy?

your on crack! 9 > 8 and X

TSX will not get 25mpg or better on average. I work on them everyday & most people are getting anywere from 17-24 mpg. Seen a few above 25 mpg but those are hwy queens. Pluse they are underpowered. Heck my 530i gets better fuel mileage.

Huh? They're rated at like 30mpg highway. I've done a fair amount of reading on them on Acurazine and most seem to report high 20s/low 30s highway.

There either full of it or drive only hwy. When I do a oil change & reset the maint. light I have scroll through the MID which also shows average MPG. What there rated at doesn't mean shit to be honest. I would be surprised if you could get a auto TSX to get 30mpg even hwy.
