Picture updates page two!
I purchased my supra november 25, 2008 from miami. The car came pretty much stock with an exeption of recaro seats, tien coilovers, ssr porfessors sp1, and an oem hatch spoiler. Recently a friend of mine decided he was going to upgrade his turbo kit so i decided to buy his na-t kit. its a dave H kit.
Parts:
dave h na-t kit with oil return and feed lines
apexi gt spec exhaust
aem tru boost controller
apexi safc II
xs racing IC and piping
and some ebay A/F and boost gauges

heres a timeline of my car from when i purchased it to were it is today, enjoy!

the car when i first brought it home: it was sitting to high, spoiler was sitting too far forward, and the hatch spoiler just wasnt my bowl of soup.

i didnt really like the way the rear looked so decided to get an apexi gt spec and smoke the tail lights.

i had a bad 2nd gear synchronizer on my car, it grinded going in. so i decided to take apart the tranny with my dad and replace the synchro from my brothers old w58 he had on his supra before he went with the v160. the funny thing is that you couldnt just replace the synchro, because the ones from the 1995 were a 3 piece as opposed to a 1 piece on the 93. so we had to replace first, second, and third gear.

Car looks good but you stated that you purchased it in Miami on November 25, 2009?? Today is the 19th so either you meant 2008 are you went forward into the future and bought it..J/K..Congrats

wow I am subscribing to this cant wait to see the end result!

(EDIT) You may not have the money for it but if possible try and get something to reatrd timing with the SAFC is an ok fuel controller but does not control timing unfortunately. Maybe GReddy emanage ultimate it's a nice unit people def do not give the system enough credit or MAP ecu is also great! Just some food for thought =)

Good luck!

shhhtevemk3- yes those are ssr professors sp1's

s142jzkilla- haha considering you live in north carolina, why not?? :p the pole is a lilttle too thick tho!

brian- no worries i was going to wait for you to start your kits, but supraforums member supragreg bought a bigger turbo so he's selling me his na-t kit. Im going to pick it up sunday after work. and thanks alot! i enjoyed coming up to your house in virgina, thanks alot for helping us out! romans supra is running great now.

to everyone else, thanks for the kind words. daveh has sent out the oil feed and return lines and they should be here on tuesday. as for the aem tru boost, should be here today possibly, along with the smoked 98 turn signals. as soo as i get the turbo on sunday afternoon, im going to cut my two IC pipes, connect everything, drill a hole in my block for the return line, and just wait for the rest of the parts to come in. BOV flange was welded yesterday, so the bov is already on the car. my guess is the car should be up and running tuesday night. im sceduled for a tune on nov. 30th, monday.

dude awesome ride, love the blue lights on the interior.

#22 ·
Did you use a film over the tail lights or paint?

#24 ·
i used film. just bought some off of ebay, and i have a heat gun at the house. took about 3 hours to get the lights off, tinted, dryed, and back on the car so its not too bad. i also did the third brake light and the sidemarkers. really not hard just takes time thats all.

Subscribed... Love all the LEDs in the interior.Thoughts on a lip ? Soon itl be time to update your 1320. Are you gonna keep the w58 ? I've already blown 1 and I'm around 400hp.I think I need to send some more pms. I got some qs about the LEDs again

#29 ·
deff. thoughts on a lip, the reason i havent gotten it yet is because im going to get my car tunned next monday and its going to cost me some money. lip will be in the near future. and i wont be taking my car to the 1/4th mile for two reasons- im running a stock clutch, and im keeping the w58 and the last thing i need right now is tranny problems. my brother has also gone through two w58's and went with the v160. when i have enough money to afford blowing a tranny, ill take it to the track. and np you can pm me anytime.
