the retards that had the car before me thought that it would be a great idea to shave the door handles. today my battery was dead and after i got the car started i let it run for a bit and when i went to get in my remote wouldnt do anything. its got a compustar alarm on it, i put new batteries in the remote hoping it was that. anybody have any experience with these things that could give some input?

Any time we shave handles I always install a secondary battery lead. This allows you to charge externally and hook up a jump box if your locked out preventing this issue. In addition I like to hook up a hidden safety cable incase the actuator burns up or anythign else. Once you get back into the car, you may want to consider some of these ideas.
