the retards that had the car before me thought that it would be a great idea to shave the door handles. today my battery was dead and after i got the car started i let it run for a bit and when i went to get in my remote wouldnt do anything. its got a compustar alarm on it, i put new batteries in the remote hoping it was that. anybody have any experience with these things that could give some input?
or if there is anybody on here in the ma/ct area good with electronics that might have a chance to take a look at whats going on would be much appreciated
Any time we shave handles I always install a secondary battery lead. This allows you to charge externally and hook up a jump box if your locked out preventing this issue. In addition I like to hook up a hidden safety cable incase the actuator burns up or anythign else. Once you get back into the car, you may want to consider some of these ideas.
ya i can get in through the trunk and open the door from the inside but i still dont know why my button doesnt work. and scott you any good with this kind of stuff? i am free monday this week and sunday just let me know would be greatly appreciated
Let me know how it turns out and if u need more help but afterwards we better see u at the meets or ill make the problem worse. Seriously would like to help
well after a cpl hours after scott came over and helped we got the alarm to work but still no luck with the door poppers. so if anybody else would like to give it a shot it would be appreciated. thanks for coming over and helping for a bit scott.
No problem Tyler, I hate your car for two reasons though, 1 it's MUCH nicer than mine, and 2 your key fob is harder to program than a VCR clock from 1988
