Any feedback on Kumho tires?

I have seen Kumho Supra-712 tires advertised for $70 and was wondering if anyone has any experience with that brand. Since I am only driving my Supra locally and don't plan on taking any long trips I'm not anxious to pay $200 a tire. Are there any other tires that people are happy with that are in the $100 nrange?

I posted a very similar question on SM not too long ago, and the general consensus is that it is an excellent tire for the price; very grippy and very nice, however the life is quite low.

I ordered some because I needed a full set of tires asap and only had $300. We'll see when they get here how they are.
i got some on my supra but havent driven on it yet, what i hear about kumho is they arent bad, ecsta Mx being the best model. very grippy but low life due to it being a softer tire.
treadwear for the Kumho Supra-712 are low, maybe around 200-280 but as in performance its one of the best, i reccommend getting Kumho Ecsta 711 cause the treadwear is about 350, its performance as well but on the lighter side. Overall Kumho Tires is a great tire to go with, reliable and dependable! Think about it! Alright peace!
I will probably get some of these as well.
i had some on my supra the 711's good tire for the money
Not a huge fan of the 712's but that's just me. I prefer the Ecsta MX, a lot better grip pattern plus they smoke more than Redman and Method Man on Tour :) They're a little bit more on the pricey side, just a tad over $100 but it's all about preference.
I have been using the ecsta supra 712s since last summer. They have great really good wet traction, and I'd reccomend them to anyone for the money.
Great tires for the bucks, on my second set and my daughter has a set, no complaints....... dry traction, awesome....wet a little worse
i disagree, they are about the worst tires ive driven on, all i care about is grip though. Generally speaking you get what you pay for. They are good if you cant afford better sport tires.
Kuhmo Tires

I used them before, was quite happy with them. Grip was very good for the price. I would buy them again! :bigthumb:

i've got them on my sup, the esta supras, they are pretty sweet tires, grip well while going fast around corners, and handle well at high speeds, cheers Brennan
i have ran 712's and the mx's there pretty good tires for the price

i ran the 712's thous were nice tires wet tration and hydro plaining was nothing to worry about

dry they had good side walls nice and stiff the way you want it so you can corner nice and hard

tration well they were good and held ish my power back then

over all nice tire it's great tire for it's price and dare i say the best

MX is what i am runing now there a good tire but they have week ness ot them the side walls are not that stiff compared to the yok db2 wich was stiffer
or the bfg kd's that i have never ran but i know they have very stiff side walls

wet tration is ok my my tire's are still new hydro plaining is not much to worry about but they hydro plain when they get old

now to the good

dry tration is just crazy there one sticky tire

the dunlope sp8000 tration was ok when given it but the MX's hooked up like mad putting the sp's out to lunch

conering is very good but as i mention befor they don't have a stiff side wall but they have grip like crazy you just loose tad bit of turn in

you can pulls some huge g's on these tires

any ways

712's get a 10 for price and all that comes with it
yoke avids suck ass there junk never buy them
yoke db's get a 8 there kidna exp and don't last long but very good tire
sp8000 8 1/2 since i only used them in the rear i can't really give it a good chance they they had stiff side wall and better trun in then the mx's

MX's if this tire was not as sticky on dry this tire whould be doomed for

they just hold the road like mother fucker
great tration for all you guys out there spinign your tires off

i give em a 9 1/2

I got some on my Supra right now, had them since about a 2 weeks now, there pretty good tires, alot better than pepboy tires for sure, but there really soft, not good if you drive really hard IMO to which i do, but overall there a 9/10, good tires for the price
Yeah, I've had the 712s for about a year, I like them. Not bad for being made in Korea.
I'm on my second set of ecsta 712's and they are very nice on a tight budget, but I tried the yokohoma avs es100's once when I had a little extra dough and absolutely loved them. Best tire for the price IMHO. The Yok's are $86 though as opposed to the Kumho's $69. An extra $68 for a much better ride... up to you.

I got my Kuhmo Supras today and they are 340 treadwear.

"Alright piece"
The 712's are really good tires for the price. They do very well when it's pouring outside.

If you do drag racing, they aren't too grippy though. From a dead start I'd spin them all the way through 4th. I ran the 255/50/16's in the back and 225/50/16's in the front.

Great value for everyday driving.
Good performance tire for the money. Good grip. - My first set of Kuhmos was the 711's. This set was Z rated. Z and V ratings have been discontinued for the 711's. If you want to go faster than H rated tires will allow you will have to go to the 712's.
