Has anyone ever tried to see if a camed 1jz will spool a t88 33d? If not I'll going to give it a whirl.

if you do keep us posted. what hp figures are do you think you will get with that setup? i wonder if that will be streetable?
im just cuious cause, the t78 kit i have has the same ar as the t88.
full spool 5800 rpms.. get 272 hks and rev to 8200 rpms yo.. shit would b e dope!
1jz power
have u had your car dynoed with the t78
i was thinking about getting one but am a tad worried about lag and what sort of power it will get
the kit isnt even on my car. my car is at the body shop. sooo itll be awhile.

With the greddy t78 and 272 cams you can hit close to 1000hp at around 35psi. I see almost no lag. Mainly because I always keep the rpm above 4500.

daym
i was only hoping for around 350rwkw lol

what other mods have u got to run that sort of power ?
T78 is a 67mm turbo.

Mate with GT35 .8 a/r has made 480rwhp or 360rwkw on a dyno dynamics dyno at 27psi with no nitrous.

Will be a hell of a lot less laggy than a T78.

FYI the dyno numbers spoken of are not comparable to most Australian dynos. That is why 1/4 mile trap speeds are better to compare with (in similar weight cars).

For an all round turbo, garrett gt3076R is a ripper. 25psi at 3800rpm, will make 300rwkw (aus dyno) on stock engine with stock cams at 24-25psi.
oh ok
yea well something like that sounds good

main reason i was looking at the t78 was because i wanted to buy the turbo as a complete kit
so i had the choice of
TD-06S 20G-12.0cm2
TD-07S 25G-14.0cm2
T78 33D-17.0cm

which one of these chris do u recon would do what i want the best ?

or/and do u kno of anywhere that sells whole kits ??
t78, cause if your gonna pay 4k for a kit then you might as well get the best bang for the buck.

oh, hit up titan.
I ran a HKS T51 ( Big MOFO) on stock cams and that fat bitch would not even spool in 1st gear............... it would however spool at 5000 in 2nd and check the fuck out. :)

Now I am on a 77mm precision and much happier.

and I will kiss the man ass that knocks out 1000hp on a 1jz with a t78 with out N2O

Are you still on a 1JZ bottom end? What kind of power are you making with the 77, how is spool. I'm not so much worried about spool as I'm auto and I can just match a stall to be close, but would like an idea. I'm really contemplating doing the 2J block swap and a 76.

I hope your joking! A T78 will not get anywhere near 1000 hp no matter how much boost you try to get out of it.

Hmmm... Thats kinda what I was thinking. Then again, I dont have a T78
I have a 2jz bottom end, It makes awesome power. Dyno numbers don't show it due to the unlocked slushbox..............but it traps 137+ :)
in the winter me and my friend will be building a 1jz with 1000 horse. no bs. real deal with no money limits, yeaaaaahhhhh.

oh a t78 17cm is good for 750rwhp relaibly.
