I think the plan is to bury the t78 this weekend. We'll see the max it will push then goes on the gt47.
At 6300 the hp curve is still rising. 6000 is the peak??? Only for torque. Remember we let off the pedal at 6300 because the fuel pressure was dropping. With the 272's the hp should/will peak around 7300-7500rpm.BTW 6k is your peak winnipegman so I don't expect you to hit much more power maybe 40-60 at best with 30 psi
:bsflag:This is 25psi, 1 walbro, 13 degrees timing, 6300rpm. I am going back this weekend with the new fuel system. 35psi, 15 degrees timing, and full rpm. What do you think it will hit??
See on the scan the a/f ratio starts to rise at around the 500hp mark.
Damn 1 walbro.
If we could have gone to 8000rpm I bet it would of hit close to 800hp. But because of a/f we had to back off at 6300.
Care to elaborate more??:bsflag:
Sure. One Walbro would run out of fuel well before the RWHP level indicated by the dyno sheet you posted. It can't be right.Care to elaborate more??
I think you fail to understand how a turbocharger works. It does not matter what the displacement of the engine is, what RPM you rev it too, what cams you have etc... A T78 can only flow enough air for so much horsepower. You will not make 800rwhp on a T78 period. Im not sure why you dont understand this. Due to the flow cababilities of your particular set up you may be able to max out the T78 on a lower amount of boost but you will make no more power than anybody else with that turbo. PERIOD!! By the way, if you come back with a 800 rwhp dyno sheet for that turbo you are either spaying or the Dyno is not calibrated properly. At 6300 the hp curve is still rising. 6000 is the peak??? Only for torque. Remember we let off the pedal at 6300 because the fuel pressure was dropping. With the 272's the hp should/will peak around 7300-7500rpm.
I will be back on here this weekend with a dyno graph over 800hp on a T78. Yall see! lol
He already posted in another thread that it tapped out at 700 like we all said. By the way it had nothing to do with hating so your comment irritates me a little. It is based on fact and anybody that understands how turbochargers really work will understand this. You can only get x amount of airflow out of a given turbo regardless of the engine you put it one. If pointing out the FACTS makes us haters then I guess ill keep hating or mabey I should go see if my 76 will make 1200 hp.Updates on the t78 dyno yet. I'm really anxious to see how it turns out. You'll either put an end to the haters or prove that they were right. Either way I'd like to see the results.
Nah, they also stick 'm on RB26's and they spool at about 5000rpm.the t88 would be too big for the ij stock motor with cams....you would have boost for about 600 rpms......
LOL!what ever happened to showing the engine bay pic to bring the point accross??
