i need to ship an engine up to maine.... anyone have experience with this? any help is much appreciated.

The one time I had to ship an engine, we used DB Schenker. They were the cheapest.

Build a little wooden box for it out of thick plywood. Make the buyer pay for it. Stuff the box with paper nad bubblewrap, ect... Ship

Ummmm I wouldnt trust paper and bubble wrap for an engine?!

you best bet is to strap it down to a pallet using metal or nylon banding straps.

Then call DBSchenker or BAX Global for a skid pickup.

I used a tupplewear bin just the other day. I then ziptied the lid shut all the way around, To the actual bin. I put alot of foam in the bottom, Then wrapped a THICK bed blanket around the engine aswell so it doesn't move. UPS freight from PA to TX charged $239 to a residential adress via 3 day freight..
