I have a Kenwood RR500E Euro Spec Head unit. Its a great unit. I paid $300 for it. A really good Price for an Excelon Headunit(at the time).

This Thing is great. The only problem is after 13 months the Headunits face completely stopped working. So now it has no mask and no way to remove the CD inside. I have a CD Changer, and the face is fully open, so it still powers my car stereo

has anyone repaired this problem? How much did it cost?

Where did you buy it from? If at all possible, try to have it serviced from there. Most places offer some type of a service warranty around my area when a radio is purchased. If you cant go this route, I would suggest sending the unit off to Kenwood for service and repair, which can be expensive, or just buy another unit altogether. If you have a dedicated changer, get another Kenwood...there are some rather nice ones out right now:) If you have an RF changer, any head unit will do. I can get the Kenwood service number from work if you need it. Later
