Anyone running Greddy's T78?

If so, any info you can give me would help me out alot. I'm either going T78 or T04R. From what I understand the kits are very similar. Is this accurate? I know alot about the T04R but very little about the T78. I'm looking for 650+rwhp.

Thanks

i run it. im only on stock fuel now though. it will definitely get you to the 650 mark without much problem. as for the quality of the kit..it fit absolutely perfect and came with everything needed for the install. right now its really cheap, i picked up mine for just a hair over 3,500 brand new.
You might have known this already but, the T78 is a mitsubishi turbo. It has a TD07 Turbine housing and A TD08 compressor housing. They seem to get close to 650rwhp on a Supra w/o cams. With cams, modified intake manifold and a ported head, it could probably get well into the 7XXrwhp range. I have no idea what that would do on an rb26det though, sorry. Just a question, how much do these kits cost from japan for the Skyline? Do you get raped by shops that import them or do you have a hookup somewhere in japan?

I am in Japan, I can probably help you out.
I wouldn't recommend the T78 or T88 even though they are the most commonly used turbos for the GTR's.
Sometimes I can get ahold of used kits for cheap. I know there was a twin TD06 20G kit for sale recently.
If you are going strictly new then a SP turbo mated to a HKS or Greddy mani would be optimum IMHO.
Thanks for your help guys!

If you can give me a good price for the kit I'll take you up on it for sure. gritsak said he got his kit for $3500 if you can beat that even better;) :)

You can PM me the info if you like.

Thanks again

Newbie here ... so when you guys talk about putting on a T78, does that mean you're just replacing the primary turbo, or that you're doing a full single-turbo conversion?

Also, what other mods did these people have before they put in a T78 and got 650+ to the wheels?
They mean they are doing a single turbo conversion.
T78 kit for $3500

Andy,
Where did you get the T78 kit for $3500 from? I'm in the market for it too.
