Hey all. I equipped my 87 Auto with some Apex springs and Billstein shocks just before getting deployed, and was wondering if anyone else noticed this problem.

ABout two to three of the coils are touching in both the rear and in the front springs, and it just doesn't look normal. I set the spring perches at the middle level and it just doesn't seem normal for that kind of setup to have coils touching each other.

The car did ride quite stiff, almost too stiff, but after 2 weeks of driving it, just before I left, it was finally starting to soften a bit.

Being an Apex dealer, I called them and inquired about this problem, as I saw it. They informed me that this was typical and there was nothing to worry about. I still say that it seems awful weird that three coils in front are resting on each other.
