Hi!

I have asked around this board for a couple of days and now I have narroved my choice down to two exhaust's....

Apexi GT Spec

Tanabe Racing Medallion

What I want to know now is the following...

Which one of theese two is the loudest and more aggresive one?
Also, the Tanabe is constructed like the tailpipe is integrated into to the muffler. What diameter is the muffler and what diameter is the tailpipe in the muffler? Also, does it look good in real life?
It is so hard to see from pics and I have never seen an exhaust built like the Tanabe before. I've looked at all the pics on MKIV MVP SupraStore etc allready...

Also, when you state your sound impressions on the Apexi GT, please do so without the integrated muffler...

Please guys, all help and all the oppinions are truly appreciated...

Thanx a lot in advance!

Merry Christmas!

i have the gt spec, i like it alot, if i had a choice i would do it again...imo and this is just my opinion, i think the racing med is ugly, but thats just me, many ppl love that exhuast. its also one of the more agressive sounding too, more so than the gtspec. i hve pics of the gt spec on my car if u want...just let me kno and i can send via email. later

The T.R.M is definately louder. I had it on my car for a few months and used the silencer only once. made the car sound as quiet as stock. The TRM is HUGE! if you don't wanna alot of attention from the police get the G-spec. alot nicer finish, the TRM was cheap in my opinion. I liked the Racing Medallion at first but it became sort of and eyesore after a while :)
Why do you ask the same question on two different forums everytime?

badmuthrfkr,

Cuz then I get a better response, and my topics fit under theese two categories;)

SilverTT and aznsupra ,

What do you guys mean, is the quality crappy, I mean, it still is a polished muffler...

Can't anyone give me some exact measurements on the muffler and the tailpipe please...

Everything will be helpful since I have never seen this exhaust, neither the GT Spec...

Thanx!

I love my apexi gt spec.
Low rumble at idle.
Near stock with silencer in.
Fu!#ing loud as hell at WOT:D :D :D

If I could change anything I would make the rear muffler smaller and come straight out.

Also would be nice if the entire thing was not so shiny....maybe a powdercoated option (black) would be good.........only if you are like me and don't want it to stand out so much.

Would I buy it again?

ABSOLUTELY........I LOVE THE LOOK ON V-8 DRIVERS FACES AFTER I SPANK THE SH%# OUT OF THEM AND THEN THEY SAY ....."DUDE........THAT THING IS F%$#*!G LOUD MAN!!!!!!!!!"
"WHAT IS IT????????? blah blah blah...

The TRM's power coated finish was coming off the exhaust piping after 2 months. I believe the dimensions were..the tip was 5" and they canister it self was maybe 6" in diameter. The TRM wasn't even centered with the exhaust cut out of the bumper, and would actually wobble back and forth.

"The GT series incorporates 95mm piping (3.74 inches) with a 115mm polished tip for maximum power" im not sure how fat the actual muffler part is but its not overly sized, i think its just rite. the quality is great, fit and finish.

Tim,

Are you talking in your own experience?

Is it really so big, the wobble part is fixable.

Have you the TRM on your car, any pics if so?

Thanx!

PS: Anyone out there with concrete specs on the size of the Tanabe Racing Medallion?!?!?! DS.
