I have a 97 on Volk SE37's, lowered w\ the eibach 1.3 kit. I am running 295 35 18 AVS tires. They are rubbing on the outside part of the fender. They rub when you go over any little bump. Are 295's to wide and should I switch to 285. Thanks for your input

I hear that 295's will rub. Have you rolled the fenders yet? Dropping to 285's with a rolled fender you should have no problems.

just trim out the lip of the fender well and seal it so it dosent rust.......i used an air hand saw to trim out the fender lip...when you roll the inner fender you run a risk of cracking the paint outside of the fender......i found it better to trim it than roll it...i have 295 35 18 on the rear of my lexus and they dont rub at alll since trimming.. I run 295/35/18 on 10.5" rim, no rubbing, car is slammed with Tein coilovers. Correct offset is your best friend.

A 235 will rub on the back if you have the wrong offset. There is no way of telling someone what will fit if you don't know what offset they have. You will need at least a 49mm offset to run a 295. If you tell me your offset, I will tell you what size tire you will need so it doesn't rub.

Steve-
I have 295 35's on 18x10's with a 45 mm offset for the rear. Will these fit with rolled fenders?

It will work if you roll/cut about 1/4" of the fender lip. You could also use a 285/30R18 and it should fit. The 285/30R18 is a better fitment anyway.

I agree. I switched from a 285/35 18 SO2 PP to a 285/30 18 SO3 PP and am much happier with the fitment. Also, my speedo is more correct with the 30 series tire. It looks nice too.

It will be very close. You are basically at the maximum. It will definitely fit with fender mods, and may fit without any mods. Variances from one car to another and alignment differences will dictate whether you rub or not.
