I will be installing a downpipe and BCC soon and want to run the car in this state for a few months before installing a manual boost controller. Will I be safe without EGR plates at 15 psi levels?

Also, does the installation of two EGR plates stop all concerns about the overheating of cylinder #6?

i dont think its any certain psi you need to block them off. just do the resistor mod for now and then when you can go in and do the dual blockoffs. and this will totally eliminate the egr...as far as the hotter #6 cylinder, i dont think this cylider being hotter is purly based on the egr dumping the gasses, there are other factors as well i think, but this well help some on egts.

The EGR isn't open under boost.

As far as the EGR heating up the head, it's a good idea to disable it at any PSI, OR get some air flow to the back of the head (euro scoop)
