I received a phone call from the director of car registration for Hot import nights. He wants to try and setup a Supra group at the May 13th HIN event in Charlotte, NC. They are very interested in getting around 10 Supras and displaying them as a group, maybe even at the front entrance!!!! You have till Thursday to decide. For more information, you can go to www.hotimportnights.com or send me a PM. He wants me to call him back and let him know as soon as possible. LETS GET THIS DONE GUYS!!!!!!!

it be nice to have wes(weswork), Frank(boosttoy),Steve Jarvis, Jim all those guys to show off there cars. They got awesome looking supras. Do we it in HIN for free or we still have to pay?

I know wes is already showing his, along with Mike and his Widebody, and Me ofcourse. You will still have to pay but Lance (HIN director) told me he would cut us a deal if i could get some more Supras.

It is $50 to enter but I was told by the director that he would cut me a deal if I could get some more Supras involved. He is VERY excited about having a Supra group showing. I will be calling him tomorrow and letting him know that I have interest and find out what he says. Yes, u will have to leave your car overnight Friday because thats when they set the cars up for Saturday... Any new info will be posted ASAP!!!
Thanks guys,
Greg

Alright... Just found this in the other thread. This is the guy I spoke with...

few remaining spots left held reserved for locals, and for my personal favorite.. the big boy supra's...!!!

Register by Thursday / Friday @ http://www.hintickets.com/default.asp?PID=34

email tphan@visionevent.com

should I get a big group of Supra's from SupraForums.com then I'd especially would like to reserve a car row dedicated to the 2JZ.

hmm....leave my Supra overnight....NOT unless I am sleeping in it. Sorry but having to pay for someone else to benefit from our cars PLUS leave them overnight just makes me uneasy about the whole thing. PLUS there are only a select few that get the privelage of driving my car, and its definatlely not going to be some F&F wannabe.

ring ring....mr insertnamehere, your car was stolen last night, we have contacted the authorities, please come pick up your pieces of glass....from what WAS your car, never to be seen again.

They wont be touching the cars after u leave. AND, there is security there to watch all the cars.. There will be many HIGH dollar cars their so i dont think there is any need to worry about it. VIP Autos will be bringing some porsches and ferraris!!!!

I'm not to fond of leaving it overnight either. At what time friday will it need to be dropped and what time saturday can it be picked up? If any damage is done will they cover it? Also cash prizes were mentioned, do you know how much?

Thanks

I don't know about leaving my car overnight either, however I could bring two of the most
powerful MKIIs on the planet if interested. Both in near mint shape.

Hello guys, My name is Thanh and would like to chime in just to clarify some concerns floating around.

Standard car roll in is Friday from 3-8pm. This is one of the larger budget shows in the circuit and the preperation and staging is very large. It is also indoors so lighting, electrical, music, pods, backdrops, stages etc etc... take a good amount of our productions time overnight and on to the next morning. This is the main reason why our shows are Friday roll in. Should Friday be absolutely impossible for you then we can set up an early saturday roll in that would include a $20 penalty fee, but because I want to make this happen for everyone including myself, I am willing to work out on the pricing for the car registration to ease any penalty fee's. Contact me at tphan@visionevent.com for info.

Regarding security and safeguard of vehicles. Our show is indoors at the Charlotte Merchandise Mart. If you've ever been to the place you'd know its gonna be next to impossible for anyone to steal your vehicle. Security is posted for our staging equipment and the Convention centers' security is standard every night also. You keep your keys' once you are staged so NO we wont' be driving it around. In all honesty, we're going to be too busy anyways... besides.... there's plenty of pre-parties to have fun on friday w/ the models so you can guess where most of us will be! ;)

In regards to wanting to show for our benefit, its one of those things that if you are a show guy then you'll like it. If you have no interest in showing then I am willing to tell you that maybe its not for you. Those that show and reap the benefits do it because of various reasons I dont' care to explain, so at the end of the day, if you feel this is definitely not something for you, then I do not want to waste your money and burden yourself. Many people also show solely to pick up sponsors, which IMO really isn't a good enough reason to do it. There's got to be a sense of pride and enjoyment from showing the hardwork and dedication you've put into the vehicle, everything else is just perks.

Its not for everyone but I do hope those that do come will enjoy themselves. At the end of the day we just want everyone to enjoy themselves and enjoy the show. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at tphan@visionevent.com I would be more then happy to answer any questions.

PS Thank you SupraGreg for posting this thread, we are all looking for the same thing and I sincerely hope we can reach our goal.

I second that. If it's possible please let us know what time saturday morning we need to arrive.. How many supras do you need for a dedicated row? Can we get a car count on who can go so we can get this in the works? Thanks

I understand Friday roll in may be a bit difficult for you guys and there is a $20 penalty fee for rolling in Saturday so I've worked out a discount code for online registration to ease a bit of the costs. It's $7 discount so hopefully that'll be enough to get you guys out there.

discount code: charlotte06

http://www.hintickets.com/default.asp?PID=34

Saturday roll in starts at 1pm and will be held open for approx 1.5 hrs.

In the future pertaining any of our shows, I highly recommend members to contact me a few weeks in advance of the show to setup an online discount code so I can help you guys and also make adequate promotional preperations to share some of the spotlight on flyers, posters, promo ads etc etc....

If you have a hot supra and would like to be entered into our TOP16 bracket please send pics and mod info to tphan@visionevent.com w/ header "TOP16"

Each car will go up against another car in a bracket competition. Each bracket you win will get you a cash prize. As the brackets move on, the cash prize is increased. I believe final bracket is a few hundred and XM satellite radio. It is still being finalized and more info will be updated at www.HINCity.com in a few days so watch out! like whoa!
