I :wackit: all over both cars, but the 997 makes do it twice.

Nitpicking...

Audi: For the love of all that is holy, please paint the ghastly trim to match the car. And please install some attractive wheels on such a pricey car.

Porsche: Yellow calipers? Still? Can you think of a worse paint color to use? Is there a reason you chose a color that doesn't really compliment any body color? Why not silver? Black? Grey? Red? Maybe even gold?

I also wanted to add that IMHO, the 997 is the ultimate 911. It takes everything I love about older 964/993 models and later 996 models and combines them in one modern package. Yummy. :yum:

I dont get Audi's saying? so the R8/r10 whatever its called now the slowest car they built?

IMHO, the R8 looks like a cool car, but it reminds me too much of the NSX. Not really looks like it, but the stance and cockpit is slung forward. (maybe just my skewed vision) but I never liked NSX's so the R8 goes to the bottom of my list too.

I would most deffinately take a Porsche over it. I dont care that the 911's have essentially looked the same for the past 40yrs. It works for em. . . - the yellow calipers. lol

The R8 has some damn nice seats though. I wouldnt mind plopping my ass on them.
But again, i would deff love to rub my balls all over every piece of suade in the Porsche

fyrarms- i used to think the same thing about the panel. but i've come to realize how bland of the audi r8 is. with that thing painted it would be even more bland. the r8 is such a safe design that it's boring IMHO. i'm already bored of it. i would prob take the 997 turbo over it. the only thing that the r8 has over it is that v10. the sound of v10 > flat6 tt by a lot.

Wow, the R8 looks gorgous; sort of 'lambo esque' but better looking than the Lamb.

The Porsche, hotness. I know that the Porsche look is timeless and classic, but IMO, the R8 makes the Porsche look bland with a tad of 'bla.

I think for that price, I would consider something al little more unique and different than the Porsche.

I agree, the new 997s are the best 911s yet. For me, easily the new 997 turbos over R8.
