My auto stalls when in Drive.. I have to down shift to L to keep it from stalling. I already replaced the odometer because I thought it was a cold solder issue. Any suggestions ?
Yeah.. My mechanic said my transmission isn't downshifting on its own.. We changed the solenoids, no luck.. Need a new tranny, however I can still drive by power shifting my auto. Holdin out until til my TT swap.
All wack! Yep, if the ecu isn't getting a speed signal, it will stall when coming to a stop, but once you turn it back on after stalling it should be fine. But that doesn't sound like this is the ecu, maybe IACV valve is clogged up, or TPS is bad.
My mechanic checked the tps and said it was fine. Now the transmission is slipping in drive and in 2nd.. Looks like I'm heading to the transmission shop to get bent over :/
