I have found a silver 97 TT supra with 37k/mi for 26,500. Great price. Only problem is it is an auto. If I can get the car this cheap - is it worth it if I would want to do a tranny swap?

I know in Bimmers and Miatas this is a pain in the ass. How is it for the supra? What parts are intailed? Anyone done this and know from experience how much this costs?

Thanks,
Matt

Powerhouseracing.com will swap it for:
$7,000.00 with a used gearbox
$12,000.00 with a brand new gearbox.

This is usually enough to wanna make people backtrack from doing the conversion. I know I did.

I would just save up and wait around for a proper 6 speed. even though shops like powerhouse can do it for you, its still a pain in the ass, costs alot of $$$$$ and it might cause some issues if you try to sell your car again.
