I swapped a TT auto (jdm) into my NA by doing the valve body swap and for some reason the gearing is screwed up...any insight would be helpful...

Park = Park
Reverse = Drive
Neutral = Drive
Drive = Drive
2 = Drive

Also the car will start in gear...which doesn't seem normal to me...maybe it is.

This is obviously a screwup with the valve body installation somewhere. A bad gear selector would still propel the car forward if the tranny is physically in drive. The reason why no one has responded to your thread yet is because this is definitely not a common/ normal response. There as a thread that I copied and pasted here on SF originally found on Clubna-t.com where the guy did the first documented valve body/ aristo trans conversion on a NA with tons of pics. He has since taken the pics down though. I would start by contacting that member and see if he can send you the pics and see if anything jumps out at you or something you might have missed. I'm sure this is a relatively easy fix but searching for the right answer is going to take someone who's comfortable with troubleshooting these trans. Sucks none the less.

I've been reading and scouring...and since you're the only one to even hazard a post...when you did your swap did you have to change out the gear shift linkage that is inside the trans as well as the valve body? I was just reading through a technical manual and it looks like that could be the explanation for missing reverse AND neutral. Neutral is really just D+R so if the internal mechanical gear linkage is different then the gates wouldn't line up in the valve body...

Yea...I found that thread, unfortunately missing the pics and the OP has a full mailbox and this link:

Which is making me think the gear lever. I contacted Supragreg and I'm waiting to hear from him. I thought you'd done this swap before though. Thanks for your help.
If anyone has the pics from the clubna-t thread it would be of great help though

Well, I fixed it...total NEWB mistake. When I installed the valve body I didn't put the little gear selector rod on the on the connecting pin on the linkage so the valve body was perpetually in drive. Park worked because that was a mechanical lock.

Fortunately I was able to fix it w/o completely taking the valve body out but it did make a huge mess...
