I'm in the market for a Supra Twin Turbo, and i'm deciding between a 6-speed or an automatic, Does anyone know the 0-60 time on both?, and also which one is better to have when modifying the Supra Turbo? From what I hear, the automatic is the way to go.

I have gone from stock to BPU. At stock, my best 60 ft was 2.453. At BPU- (no DP) my best 60 ft was 2.298. I have since added a DP, but have not gone to the track yet. My auto tranny is not modified. I plan to add a torque converter in the fall. My best ET @ 3800 ft is 13.569 @ 108.305. Someday I will drive to a lower altitude and check out the difference.

Smart drivers prefer auto ;)
Winning drivers prefer auto
Quicker drivers prefer auto
Consistent drivers prefer auto
Confindent drivers prefer auto
Well hung...Do I really need to go on??

Hmmm? Ryan, 6 spd, [email protected] vs. Roberto, auto, [email protected] Hmmm, seems like the fast drivers prefer the 6 speeds. Just having fun Roberto ;)

Actually, it's more like:
A lazy shifter prefers auto
A straight line only driver prefers auto
A "no experience with a stick shift" prefers auto
A slower driver prefers auto (to make him/her looks quicker)
A non-consistent person prefers auto (to be more consistent)
A non-condifent driver prefers auto as well (to be confident)

HAH!!! :D :D

If you like to ride get and auto. If you like to drive get a 6-speed. :)

It's all good. I'm just having fun also. One other point is I run Drag Radials, NOT ET Streets. But you time is still better, for NOW anyway ;)
