Has anyone tried Redline or Royal Purple's Auto tranny fluid. I was wondering if either of them out perform Toyota's Type 2 fluid.

I tried Redline and my stock tranny blew up.

It is very widely agreed upon that you should never use anthing but Toyota T4 fluid in the stock tranny. The Toyota fluid has specific friction additives this is what the clutches are designed to work with.
