Just got a Canon HF100 for my trip to London/Paris this weekend. The software that comes with it is simply for transferring the vids to the PC/DVD and for playback. No editing whatsoever. Is there a fairly simple editor I can "get" from a torrent site? Or at worst, a converter to change it to mpeg or wmv so I can edit it with Windows Movie Maker? I know movie maker is for the total amateur, but its simple and works effectively for home movies... Suggestions? Recommendations?

Adobe Premiere Pro if you want professional grade editing capabilities.
Windows Movie Maker (included with Windows xp and vista) if you just to be able to do simple edits and convert for online formats.

Thanks. I'll try them out and see which one works best for me.
