Ummmm no. It depends on what year it is. If it's a new 600RR, a VERY good rider might be able to get it to dip into the 10.90 range, but I doubt it. In the real world, a good street rider will barely be able to get a CBR1000 into the 10's. Guys that have been riding for years can run 10.50's on the 1000's stock. Average guy on a CBR 600RR will run 11.7 - 11.4

These aren't real world #'s either, some of these #'s are ran w/ Pro riders, and some are just the journalist's #'s. They've got the Hayabusa clocked at 9.97 and the 04 R1 clocked at 9.93 :wtflol: I'm sorry but a pro rider on an R1 couldn't beat an average guy on a busa in the real world.

The hp to weight ratio may be better on the 1000cc bike than the busa, but at a dragstrip you have to keep the front end down, a stock busa is easy to keep both tires on the ground due to wheelbase. And the busa's torque is unmatched, that's something they don't talk about in the magazines. Trust me, I've ridden them all...

The 04-up R1 is no match for any new 1000 bike. It wasn't all it was supposed to be when it came out. Yamaha claimed 180+hp and the production bike was around 150. The wheelbase is ENTIRELY too short for drag racing anyway. It is a corner/stunt machine. The Gixxer1k is about the same way, with more power. The CBR1k is heavier than all of them so it's a little slower, but still a good overall bike. The ZX-10 is the ONLY bike that is any sort of a match for a busa from a dead stop, but requires a DAMN good rider to keep it down. I haven't raced any 05 Gixxer1k's yet, but I'm assuming they will own the ZX-10, and maybe even the busa... As of now I haven't ran into anything at the dragstrip that can match the stock busa.
