I don't see alot of talk in here about BBS rims. I see them on race cars often enough. I was thinking about breaking the bank for some BBS RG-R DBK's. Any comments on these?

They come in lots of sizes. I went to the rim shop a month ago. Before I learned all I know supra rim sizes here in this forum. They picked some sizes for me...

8.5-18 +36mm 235/40 fronts and
9.5-18 +38mm 265/35 rear

I am going to go back to the shop and see how much it would be for the larger sized

9.5-18 +50mm 265/35 front
10.5-18 +54mm 295/30 rear

If they have the larger size with the right offset and it does not go up too much in price I will get them...otherwise I think I will go for the sizes that they suggest.

The BBS RSII and the BBS LM are the largest rims that BBS makes as I know of. I have never heard of the RG-R DBK's before, are they new? I got the BBS RSII 18x8.5 in front and 18x10 in the rear with 285 without any rubbing....Darshana S...

I think that the RG-R is not sold in the US. Not 100% on that.

I agree with Steve, i would not go with anything smaller than a 10.5" wheel tho. Once you start to upgrade performance parts, traction will be an issue even with this size. I want to get some 11"rears and 9-9.5" fronts

Dmora,
I don't think the RK's come in 18x11's (which is unfortunate because they seem to be the only ones with a nice deep dish design). I was actually looking into getting the same size rims from BBS and my wheel guy said the only one that come in that size are the LM's...you can actually get those made up to 18x13's if you really wanted!! But I don't like the black middle piece. Oh well, I'm happy with my RSII's for now...Darshana S...

I've got the BBS LM's they are sweet - very high quality nearly zero balancing required (infact the tire probably causes all the balancing requirement.)

They are low weight and available in all the best sizes inc 19"

Highly recommend them.....the only problem is the no. of spokes....far to much of a pain to clean!!!!
