I considering getting getting a 93 fd with 99 spec turbo's and full suporting mods on it. It put down 367whp on 91oct and I believe mid 400's on 104oct and ran a 11.60-11.80 1/4 mile with street tires. From what I have read it seams to be fairly comparable to a well tuned bpu. I was just kind of curious how comparable the two are as far as from a roll goes.

Those are an extreme corner case of the Supra world. I'd say the car in question would be a great competitor with a normal/strong BPU Supra. The RX-7 weight advantage would be pretty good for lower speeds, but wouldn't matter as much as speeds increased.

Thats kind of what I was thinking, not to mention that the supra is geared a little better for higher speeds then the FD.

I'm sorry I misunderstood your question then. I don't know too much about the FD's especially the 99 spec other then the front bumper. But if they are capable of doing 11.5's , I believe most auto supra's will be right there with it.
