Hey guys, check this out:

Mounting Area Req'd: 16" x 16" x 3-3/4"
Est. CFM: 2950
Motor RPM: 1750
AMP Draw: 9.8
Fuse Size: 30 AMP

Almost 3000CFM and only 9.8AMP draw! That's 1/3 of the power draw of the twins all the vendors sell. 3000CFM is a LOT, more than enough. At 9.8AMPS you can run this thing all the time on a stock alternator. I will for the moment, then use a relay tripped based upon road speed later (I think I can do this with the AEM ECU).

Just don't work on the engine while the fan is turning or you might loose a finger!

BTW, this thing is ~$85 from Jegs or Summit.

To be even nicer to my alternator, I'm changing to a Walbro fuel pump which draws considerably less current (7-11AMPS depending on boost) than the stock MKIV pump (up to 20AMPs).
