the car idles at 1100rpm...will not come down unless I restart the car even after 20 minutes of driving.
also, when I turn on the AC, the RPM jumps to 2000rpm!
now I am thinking my alternator is linked to the AC RPM jump, but what about the idle?
I am running NGK6097 and I know it idles quite low, but how do you explain the high rpm dle? Throttle position sensor?
I changed my O2 sensor 5000miles ago.

Try cleaning your aic . I think thats what its called. Check out the tech articles on the mkiv.com site. The aic controls the idle on the dawg. Other cars like fords have an idle speed motor control that attachted to the throttle body.

ours is locates on the right side (from seat view) of the intake manifold.
