Problem:
I blew my turbo before I went for a four week airborne course in Georgia. I came back home and tried to start the car, and it won't start.
Turn key and fuel pump won't run. (I know for sure the fuel pump works because I ran a wire from the battery to the fuel pump and it works.)

When I run the wire to the pump and try to start the car, the car starts, but dies if I don't step on the throttle. Oohh...I've also checked all the fuses.

Question:

Could the car not start because the turbos are blown?

Could the ECU be bad?

What's going on? :nutkickhi

Help me out guys.....

check for voltage at hte fuel pump.. jump it in the diag box and check the voltage.. if theres no voltage then theres a problem (probably relay) if there is voltage maybe there was some water in the tank it siezed from rust..

I did check for spark when the car was running for a short time, but I did not check for fuel. If the engine got some gas for it to start, wouldn't it be getting fuel then?

How do you jump it in the Diag box?
