Good idea for the turbo, bad idea for high HP option.
A bolt on turbo with moderate HP (<=500) capability is a sensible idea (SS did this). The stock manifold will become an extremely limited factor to any crazy high HP expectations, and therefore, not worth the effort.

I disagree. We have made well over 700 RWHP on a 2J with a cast manifold. With a little porting internally there is no reason to think that you cannot do this on a 7M. I know that we have done several bolt turbos on 7Ms making over 600 with a bone stock exhaust manifold.

Yes!!! I would love to see a 6262 or 6265 in bolt-on form! If you need a test car, I'm here ;)

I've got the First Generation of the Supra Sport Turbo Stage V BB Turbo...and in the progress of actually finishing my project soon....if for some reason I don't hit the 500wrhp....Yes...I would be interested.

But I do have concerns about the stock exhaust manifold limitations...?

If I stick with the 7M I'd be interested. This year I'll be running a dynosaur 20g and if I stick with the 7M, quick-spooling, bolt-on turbo would definitely be the way to go.

My experience with an RPS header/GT4088, didn't result in a 'useable' powerband and I think a billet turbo with newer technology on a stock manifold would be worth a shot.

I disagree.
The 4088 on a T4 manifold was great on my 7M.
The car pulled great on the street, and occasionally brake boost would tear out on people so hard it was crazy.

As for the stock manifold, it's a complete waste of time and money.
There are bosses inside the casting from locating the external studs that could be machined/ported out... but why even bother.
