Is a s400sx3 to much for my goals?
For the next year i only plan to run about 500hp, i kind of want to buy in advance and buy a s400 but im reading some say s366 and even s360 can be a bit 'laggy' / 'lazy' for around that power goal of 400-500hpm 10.0.0.0.1 m
So i dont want to regret it and make a stupid purchase, how ever i 192.168.1.254 do like the late kind of boost and build up to be honest its a fun feeling. Ive never really drove in anything that spools at a decent time more so laggier spools and they feel awesome.
Ive done a bit of research, thought id come to reddit and ask :) thanks!
Oh also, 1jz-gte 6 speed manual

An S400 is way way way too big for 400-500hp on a 1JZ. S400's are lagmonsters on a 2JZ, and still lazy even with a 3.4L. And only really a good choice for 900+hp.

For your power goals honestly one of the 60mm S300SX3 series would do great on a 1JZ. It'll be slow enough to spool to give you the 'spool buzz' you're looking for, and it'll happily support 400-500whp without any fuss, and have a little room to grow. Plus it'll be bomb proof reliable.

Something like this would be a good match: *BILLET* S300SX3-60FMW .91 A/R (Straight Compressor Outlet)
