It was between this and a blue/white K7.. Dealer wouldnt budge off 500$ over msrp on the K7 so I went with a lightly used K5 from a different dealer. 2 days after bought it took it thru deals gap/tail of the dragon and cherohala skyway.. awesome motorcycling roads, although the dragon was a bit packed with police and slow moving harleys.. was a big harley meet that weekend I went... doh.
Bought it all stock.. Already got some goodies on the way... unfortunately I wont be riding for a couple months... Went down on my other bike (gsxr750) in a group ride a week ago... friend lowsided in a hard right hander in front of me and he and his bike slid into my line... adjusted my line and missed clipping him, misjudged where his bike was though and clipped rear of it..ouch... fill in the blanks from there lol. had jacket, gloves, helmet, boots, jeans... picked up my bike and rode to the ER... now Im sitting home with a broken right wrist, broken first metacarpal in right hand and I get some nice pins in my arm/hand to hold the fractures while they heal. I hate to see what it wouldve been without full length GP-style gloves...

Yep, wouldnt budge a dollar, out the door price was over 13k.. other semi-local suzuki dealer (30 miles away) didnt have any new 1000s.. but did me a sweet deal on K5 with 3k miles for 7500 out the door
.. I even took quotes from dealer out of atlanta about the K7 that I got online and the sales guy told me to go buy from them if they are giving such a good deal.. they knew someone local would pay it since they are only suzuki dealer in the area and its the only K7 they had/had left... sure enough the day after I bought that K5 a friend informed me they sold that K7... so Im guessing they got their price.. It wasnt like selling to me was a difficult sell.. I was ready to write a check on the spot for the right price, no financing hassle.. their loss ill play with this one rest of this year once im healed and all of next year and see what the K9 1k brings us
